lace curtains with a modern twist...

While house hunting recently we noticed how lots of the houses we seen felt overlooked and we talked about how we could remedy this.... with large sash windows you want to let the light in, but don't want you nosy neighbours peering over at you while you read the sunday papers in bed!

Now maybe I'm a bit slow on the uptake here, as Emma Jeffs seems to have had lots of publicity for her work... but I just came across it and think it is a fab concept! Adhesive window coverings that look like lace! So in keeping with a vintage inspired interior but gives you that little bit of privacy! sweet, don't you think?! Check out her website here ...and her blog.

  1. I absolutely love this idea. I'll have to see if they offer something like this in the US so that I can suggest it to my clients.

  4. Wonderful. We have some edwardian style transfers in our house as we couldn't afford modesty glass! It works well but is a real knack to get the transfers on so that there are no bubbles - especially when seen from outside at night. Can be a bit ugly! Have you seen Peels of London. They have a huge quantity to choose from - some quite naff but many good ones. http://www.e-peels.co.uk/ t.xx
