Finishing touches

So you've bought the gifts, you've wrapped them, added some pretty string or ribbon, but you just need to make sure those parcels don't get mixed up on the big day! There are so many great ideas for making your own gift tags out there, so get inspired with these and get crafty!
Lots of lovely people in blog land who are good at drawing and designing often let us download their designs for free, and all you need to do is get some pretty card and print them!  I love the above tags by Eat Drink Chic - download them here

Swedish Illustrator Camilla Engman has created these cute little tags - perfect I think for small peoples presents! Just print off onto card, punch a hole and add some string! Download here

These lovely birdies were designed by Lisa Rupp, they could be hung on your tree or used as a tag, and you can use them all year round as they are not particularly Christmassy! Download here  Oh, and while you're there have a browse of her blog too!
If you're not fussed on dealing with printers and the like, why not go for some rubber stamping? I'm such a fan of rubber stamps! This one is another all year round option, but also lovely for your xmas gifts.... From Papermash, it comes with 10 blank luggage tags and a black ink pad to get you started!
Or Cox and Cox do a lovely set of Festive stamps so you could make lots of different designs yourself!
Take inspiration from these simple but beautiful tags from In Haus Press on Etsy
These ones are letterpress but you could always look for a similar rubber stamp or if you're really ambitious get a nice fine black pen and try a bit of hand drawing!
And finally one of my favourite ideas spotted in Sweet Paul magazine - old photo gift tags! Scan in some old black and white family photos or you could put them on a photocopier if you don't have a scanner, and then print them off on card - simply cut out a gift tag shape and string them! So simple but really personal and looks great! You could also make wrapping paper in the same way.
