Hello Milky: Stylish kids

How gorgeous are these designs from Hello Milky in Melbourne, Australia?! Even though I don't have kids rooms to decorate, I still love to see items for childrens rooms that break away from the norm. 

He's looking pretty pleased with that lovely cushion!

Papermash craft event

Last Thursday evening I popped down to the Papermash craft event which was being held at the Papered Parlour in Clapham, and what a lovely event it was! Lynne, owner of Papermash and blogger at Tea for Joy, had done a spectacular job decorating the venue, and putting on activities such as jam jar decorating and screen-printing. 

I really hope Lynne does some more of these events as they are a great way to get inspired and to also meet other bloggers and creatives! If you don't know Papermash make sure to check out their lovely stationery here

A weekend in France

we had a lovely time in France last weekend, the weather was very kind to us, and we fitted lots in, sightseeing, relaxing, wedding planning, eating, drinking....! I thought I'd share a few snaps as the area is just so beautiful.... 

On a Friday morning there is a market in Riberac, its a real mixed bag of wares, and I've always got my beady eye out for some vintage goodies, but to be honest there's not much to be had there, apart from a few pieces of furniture on one stall... there is lots of lovely local produce, flowers and cute dogs to look at though...!  

we did find one junk shop in a village called Le Tour Blanche.  Its is literally choc-a-block of bric-a-brac! you had to clamber over furniture and boxes of things, but I love that!  

and then in Auberterre, I spent quite a while digging through the vintage doilies, tablecloths, teatowels and other loveliness in this little shop...

 

It was a lovely trip, and I'm even more excited now about planning our wedding there! :) 

A little bit of French

So we are heading to France this weekend for a little bit of a holiday and some wedding planning! If you've missed it in previous posts we plan to get married in SW France next year, so hopefully after this weekend we'll have a bit more of idea of how it will all work.  Fingers crossed we get some better weather than we've had in the UK of late.  So, while I'm away here is a little bit of 'Frenchness' to brighten your day....

Interviews and Spaces

Today I came across Freunde von Freunden. A Berlin based website which showcases interviews with creative and cultural people within their homes or workspaces.  Very stylish and well worth a look, here's a peek at what you'll find. This is PR agency owner, Silke Neumann's home in Berlin. (I so need to visit that city!)

Love the splashes of the "oh-so-on-trend" neon pink, mixed with natural materials and lots of plants and flowers dotted around.

Loop the Loop

Featured on the news pages of our latest issue of 91 Magazine was one of my favourite new online shops - Loop the Loop.  As I could only fit one pic in the magazine of their lovely products I thought I'd share a few more of my favourite items here.
Full of vintage loveliness, their range is beautifully photographed, and is a well curated selection of vintage items, British designs, and quirky one off pieces.

I don't drink coffee but I tempted by both this vintage coffee grinder and the lovely enamel coffee pot!
