WIN! Mini milk bottles & washi tape

To celebrate the launch of the latest issue of 91 Magazine the lovely people at dotcomgiftshop have given us some goodies to give away! You may have spotted some of their products featured in our The Making of a Trend feature on page 21.... the sweet little mini milk bottle on the left? Well you can win a set of 6 of these lovely bottles, which are perfect for displaying flowers and foliage like in our shoot, or are great for serving drinks with stripy straws in the garden!

The set you can win also comes with this cute little carry crate...

Not only that, you will also receive a pack of these candy coloured rolls of washi tape, so you can decorate your bottles similar to what our stylist Sally has done in our shoot!

So, how can you enter?! We would love to hear what your favourite craft and styling trends are. So are you obsessed with washi tape, do you love pom poms? or is there something else you think is going to be big this year? For a chance to win either:

1/ tweet us at @91magazine, tell us your fave trend, and add #crafttrends

2/ post on our Facebook page with your fave trend. (feel free to include a photo but not essential!)

3/ Instagram a photo of your fave trend, tag in @91magazine and #crafttrends

4/ leave a comment on this post with your fave trend (be sure to include a contact email address, so we can notify you if you win!)

Lots of ways to enter and you only have to do one of the above, but if you do more than one you will get more entries, and more chances to win! There can only be one winner, so make sure to get your entry in asap! I will pick a winner at random after the closing date.

If you'd like to find out more from Decor8's Holly Becker about whether bloggers can influence the creation and spread of trends, then pop over to her recent guest post, and join the discussion!

And check out our Pinterest board for some of the inspiration behind our craft & styling trends shoot too.

Good Luck!

  1. I have no idea what will actually trend, but I do know people are learning how to sew at a huge rate so maybe it's that?
make do and mend, home baking etc.
Personally, I like to sew clothes and make cloth dolls. I also like making cards.
    (when arthritis allows)

  2. Oh, wow, I adore those little milk bottles! I am getting married later this year and have been saving milk bottles just like that to put flowers in for the tables, so I would be verrrrrry happy to win some to add to the collection...

As for a craft trend, hmmmm. After the fabulous Great British Sewing Bee, I think more people are going to be dusting off their sewing machines. And I have a feeling that vintage fabrics will be even more popular than before.

So, I think we might see lots of projects re-using old fabrics this summer. Perhaps the ubiquitous bunting will be making an appearance again!

  3. I love making the melted wax crayon art

  4. I am really in to bunting at the moment and Patchwork is my REAL Passion!!!!!!! Infact anything pretty and girly that makes me smile xx

  5. I can't get enough of buttons and twine, I love sewing buttons onto garlands and using them with twine on papercraft, they make me happy :)

  6. Never thought I would be, but am really into girly vintage stuff at the mo - ESPECIALLY for the garden! Bring on the bunting & shabby chic revamped garden furniture!

  7. I am so inspired to live more sustainably and hope that it's more of a movement than a trend - so I love creating with used, found, and discarded items.
    LOVE, LOVE, LOVE refashioning clothing!

    1. Oh, yeah, here's

  8. My favorite trend lately is half painted things, from silverware to chair legs, to frames, etc. I can't get enough of it! I'm also definitely still adding washi tape to EVERYTHING...haha! Too easy :)

  9. I love maps. In all forms, stuck on everything (walls, boxes, furniture... you name it!). Thanks for the awesome competition :) x

  10. Ooooh, those milk bottles are LOVELY! Hmm, I love so many crafting trends at the minute - but paper craft is probably my favourite and I think flower styling will be big this year. My fingers are crossed! Laura :-)

  11. i looooooove everything in this post! genuinely makes me excited/happy.

i know it's been around ages, but it seems to be coming back quite a lot lately, i love the painting of certain items in an accent colour to stand out in a room. (like a set of chairs or table legs, vases etc) particularly in pastels!

  12. My favourite things at the moment are washi tape and origami paper. I love making origami decorations for our home! I don't think these are recent trends, but that is what takes my fancy at the moment. I think tha big scale items are more and more popular like big scale paper lowers or big knitted doilies as rugs, so aybe I'll try a large cale piec of origami! X

  13. I'm on washi tape mood :-)

  14. At the moment I am slightly obsessed by sashiko stitching: I can't stop thinking about new projects, I need more hours in each day, like all crafters i guess. Regarding styling trend, zakka style is one I love as it is about making pretty AND useful things. It is funny how I am into all these japanese things this year.

By the way I am also on the verge of getting obsessed by washi tape, so I need to win this :)

  15. Love how this give-away has got me thinking about top craft trends. Sequins have got to be top of my list - in strips to embellish sewing, or strung sideways onto a necklace. And think typography is on the up (think inspiring quote prints, etched glass).

Thanks for the great give away.

  16. Washi tape is beautiful & so versatile, it is an ideal trend. I'm going use it to make tiny bunting and cocktail stick flags!

  17. Gorgeous giveaway ... the little milk bottles are adorable! I think sewing will be a major trend this year ... it's cool to sew ... Bee x

  18. I still can't get enough homemade bunting in my house. I'd have it everywhere. Just the sight of it cheers me up.

  19. Crochet, you can make anything out of granny squares. Bunting is our favourite! About time macramé made a comeback to we thinks! Emma at

  20. What a fab give away. I think sewing is definitely an up and coming trend, the high street is becoming increasingly over prices and people are learning the value.of sew it your self. Also neon label makers we've gone crazy for our office this week!
